The Aston Martin

If you take any product or commodity that has been labeled with a silly cliché, and then multiply it by about one hundred, you get the Aston Martin. This is one of the most beautiful automobiles on the planet. The Chevy Corvette has for it the cult movie "Corvette Summer"; the Jag has for it the movie "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion"; and finally, the Aston Martin has for it all of the agent 007 movies on its long list of achievements. James Bond has always driven an Aston Martin. But it makes you wonder, because even a well paid CIA or FBI agent is lucky enough if he/she is able to purchase or lease a small Audi or BMW. - Oh well, no one is going to pay $10.00-$12.00 for a movie ticket to see "Bond" drive an Audi A4, or BMW 3 Series (not that these cars are very nice either, but it's a matter of exclusivity). After all, people want to get their money's worth. The only problem with the Aston, is that by the time in life you're successful enough to be able to afford one, you don't look like Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie anymore, chances are you now look Danny DeVito or Kathy Bates - but who cares, after all, it's all on the inside....

The successful, though hard working man/woman's Aston. This is the most affordable 2011 Aston. It has a 420 HP engine, and does 0-60 in a mere 4.7 seconds. When this model first came out a couple of years ago, it was a very big deal for Aston fans. For the first time in history an Aston was affordable by the working rich. Up till that point, only multimillionaires could afford Astons. What makes this car so nice, is that many people find it surprisingly driver friendly.

2011 Aston Martin DB9 $187,000 - $201,000

This Aston is gorgeous. It has a 470 HP engine, and does 0-60 in 4.8 seconds. This is a much more exclusive vehicle than the V8 Vantage, but also considerably more expensive. Furthermore, the engine is a voraciously thirsty V12 and, if you're an enthusiast that likes to punch the accelerator, be ready to make many trips to the gas station. Nevertheless, it's a beautiful automobile, for those who can afford the privilege of owning one.

2011 Aston Martin V12 Vantage $179,000 - 195,000

This is essentially a high power V12 version of the V8 Vantage

2011 Aston Martin Rapide $198,000

This is Aston's latest invention, a larger four door Aston Martin. It has Aston's V12 engine under the hood. This is a gorgeous automobile for those who want the Aston's good looks fused into a driver friendly family sedan/sports car all rolled up into one.
